March 14, 2010 Executive Board Meeting

3. Old Business
  1. Winter fun weekend went very good and had a lot of fun.
  2. Webelos lock in went very good and thanks to everyone who helped out.
  3. Thanks to the Haywardians for doing ceremonies for the cub scouts.
4. New Business
  1. COC (April 9-11) Menu is exactly what we will be having at section conclave. Chairman will have practice at this event. Lodge Assistance Program (LAPS) meeting is held here.
  2. Spring Fellowship (April 23-25) Need to encourage members at large to show up.
    1. Ceremonies are all filled up and ready to go.
    2. Vigil breakfast will be held at spring fellowship.
    3. Devin Entertained a motion to have grilled chicken for supper Jacob approved, and Joe seconded
  3. National Leadership Seminar (NLS) looking for people to go. And National Lodge Advisor's Seminar.
  4. One day of service is at 10:00 at the Barron county historical museum, bring your own lunch.
  5. Air Show Meeting March 30. Air show is June 5-6. Service corps.
  6. Summer camp ceremonies every Friday night, Boys and Blue will be held on Monday nights and brotherhood ceremonies on Wednesday.
  7. T-Shirt for the section conclave chairman need talk to advisors and figure out a color.
  8. Fundraisings for NOAC's brat stands, car washes.
  9. Vigil nominations are coming up so vote for members.
  10. Help is needed at the Blue Hills Districts pinewood derby at camp Phillips 8:30
  11. Service project in superior nation forest 500 arrowmen will be working up there for a week. Two sections. June 21-26th 2011.
5. Supreme Chief of the Fire Comments (Mr. Gilger)
  1. Thankful for all the help at the cross over ceremonies, changing the roofs in all the campsites at the spring fellowship. Air show should be a lot of fun. More fun than work. Thanks for all the effort.
6. Advisor's Minute (Mr. Dienger)
  1. Looking for all ordeals to show up to spring fellowship. Eagle flights articles. New sing in front of camp MGM Indian

February 6, 2010 Executive Board Meeting

1. Officer reports:

  1. Chief (Devin) - Council of Chiefs meeting last weekend went really well. Theme for this year section conclave is Aloha 100 years, Aloha 100 more
  2. Vice Chief of Administrations (Jacob) - has nothing
  3. Section C-1B Chief (Matt) - thanks for going to the council of chiefs meeting.
2. New Business
  1. Webelos lockin candy and pop is already bought to sell in the trading post. Ceremonies are still needed to go over, also if you have a part in the ceremony you need to get your part memorized. Ceremony will be starting at about 11:00 Friday night. Camp promotion well be happing at the end of ceremony.
  2. Council of Chiefs meeting (April 10-11) at Camp Phillips, youth are doing the tour of camp.
  3. Lodge assistance program (Laps) - the Otyokwa lodges lap meeting will be held at the April Council of Chiefs meeting. The menu for the April (Coc) is going to be the same menu as what we are having at the section conclave
  4. For the Air Show (June 5th -6th) we will be a part of a service corps, helping set up and tear down the air show. We will also be trying to have some of us serving the pilots. Also a couple of food stands.
  5. Spring fellowships
Anyone who needs to get brotherhood needs to seal their membership at this spring fellowship. Our goal for brotherhood conversion rating is 69%

Projects for the spring fellowship include:
Certified chainsaw so we have people to cut down trees, Re roofing fiberglass roofs, Shelter roofs, Painting

If interested in being chainsaw certified you need to be 18 and older to go through the class.

Thanks to everyone who helped out at the winter fun weekend. Encouraging everyone to get brotherhood at fall fellowship betters your change to get vigil and getting brotherhood to seal your membership. Need to be at spring fellowship to get that section of the segment patch. Show up at the Webelos lock in at 6:30 at the Chippewa Falls Middle School. This event was the last event that we will be able to use plastic and paper products. Going green!!!

December 13, 2009 Executive Board Meeting

1. Welcome

2. Officer Reports

  1. Chief (Devin)- Devin had nothing
  2. Admin. Vice Chief (Jacob) - Has to get power point for January COC.
  3. Act. Vice Chief (Joe) - Getting Webelos locking ceremony people.
  4. Treasure (Tyler) - Not present.
  5. Secretary (Bryce) - Started finding help for Facilities for section conclave.
3. Old Business
  1. Conclave meeting- Chairman need to check up with advisor. On January 17th at Camp Phillips we will be presenting our power points. Once completed send to Devin or Joe.
4. New Business
  1. Winter Banquet (January 9th) - Door prizes are needed! Set up will start around 1:00 at Camp Phillips. Speaker is still needed, thought about old lodge chief. Can show up at 5:30 dinner is at 6:00. $12.50 per person.
  2. COC (Council of Chiefs January 31st) - Friday night leaving around 4:30.
  3. Winter Fun Weekend - Have all winter camp buildings available. Starting pre-pre ceremonies. So will be going to the bowls and practicing.
  4. Webelos Lock-in (February 12th -13th Chippewa Falls Middle School) - Joe needs some ceremony people. Will have a practice run before the Lock-in. Need people to help with running the concession stand.
  5. Polar Adventures (December 29th-30th Fort Rice) need help teaching sessions like fire building, tent set up and tear down, knots, also with the opening and closing flag ceremony.
  6. Awards- got a final list of who will be able to receive the awards at the winter banquet.

5. Supreme chief of the Fire and Comments (Mr. Gilger) - is happy to see the section conclave work getting done effetely. Excited that there is already 1,900 scouts already signed up for camp! WHY ARENT YOU SIGNED UP FOR SUMMER CAMP?

6. Advisor's Minute (Mr. Dienger) - keep up the good work on planning the section conclave. Dues will be raised after next eagle's flight. Looking for people to be the Order of the Arrow Coordinator at Camp Phillips.

October 25, 2009 Executive Board Meeting

1. Welcome

2. Officer reports-
  1. Chief (Devin) - had meeting with Gary everything good. Needs articles from other board members.
  2. Admin. Vice Chief (Jacob) - had nothing.
  3. Vice Chief (Joe) - had winter banquet and Webelos lock in to work on.
  4. Treasure (Tyler) - Just appointed at meeting. Tyler was the sole nominee. Everyone voted yes.
  5. Secretary (Bryce) - had lists of events of what people signed up for at fall fellowship.
  6. Matt moved up to the section chief.
3. Old business
  1. Fall fellowship review Devin- went very well 100 new ordeals. Joe thanked Jacob for taking over Joe's job at the event
  2. Section conclave- Hiawatha land council in camp Hiawatha. Great experience. Needed more training events so changing things for our section conclave.
  3. Dan- said very low sessions. Keep doing patch selling to take the busses to section conclave. NST and TKC couldn't even but a bus together. Great job showing up. Have the busses ready with time to spare not the week before. ? Good Point
  4. Don- said to have people from roundtable to come up with ideas for training sessions.
  5. Margy- wants to figure out how long it takes for people to go to training session/ indoor or outdoor sessions so it is taken into consideration for the arrow men to get their on time.
  6. Dan- has cardboard for signs for section conclave.
  7. Troop rep program- Devin said that we need more troop rep's here and should get rep's here. Needs to have a good troop rep program by having the secretary or someone else to keep charge of who is the troop rep.
4. New Business
  1. Winter banquet (January 9th) - at camp Phillips, need food, and quest speaker. Either Hans our adults to cook.
  2. Have matt the section chief find a quest speaker from some other section and asks one to speak at our winter banquet. Try to find a cheap speaker.
  3. COC Next weekend (October 31'st) - planning meeting. La Crosse Saturday
  4. Winter fun weekend. (February 5th-7th). At camp, need menu. Dan sad maybe fixing basement. At event. Having brother hood ceremony!
  5. Webelos lock (February 12th-13th) - at Chippewa falls middle school. Need to work on ceremonies. Work on food shifts.
  6. Spring fellowship (April 23rd- 25th) - talk in future. Elangomats talk to ordeal members in their clan to get brotherhood!
  7. One day of service need to do another one. Spring project is a mile long work on a creek. Throw tires into the dumpsters. Dnr and environmental safety agency will help.
  8. May 8th Cameron museum clean up.
  9. NlS sending a couple advisors and eight youth to nls. Paper work all approved.
  10. Lodge Leadership Development (LLD) very good idea. Get training sessions maybe in the first week of December maybe at scout office or at camp Phillips at sour dough Yukon.
  11. Segment patches idea from Chris. Four patch designs. Voted for the square patch with summer camp attendee patch on bottom

l) Lodge flap. Nice flaps a couple of top and bottom and a couple of single flaps. Decided to change the white patches to red, but not decided if want to have it as the patch. New patch colors. Red blue and green boarder. Three patch tops. Top design green bottom design gold.

  3. Past board members and founders award recipients reunion. Winter banquet need to get a hold of these people. Have founder list.
  4. December 5th 1:00-2:00 at camp Phillips section conclave meeting.
5. Supreme Chief of the Fire (Mr. Gary Gilger) wants to keep kids in scouting. Need to promote scouting more for the kids to stay in cub scouts and to move on to boy scouts. By having the Order of the Arrow help out with getting Webelos to become boy scouts.

6. Advisor's minuets (Dan Dienger)-founders' day recipient patch. Need to be a founder recipient. Only get two sets in the life time. Have 120 of these patches.

  1. Devin entertained that any founder's day recipient can only buy two per lifetime and for 50 dollars.
