April 13, 2008 Executive Board Meeting

1. Welcome

2. Officer Reports
a) Committees: Ceremonies team is up and running
Dance Teams are going good
b) Treasurer: Not Present
c) Secretary: The Bylaws are done they will be sent out.
d) Vice Chiefs: Matt: the eagle's flights are out.
Jordan: Not much
e) Chief: Nothing to say.
3) Old Biz
a) Eagles Flights are out along with the Ordeal letters encouraging them to take their brotherhood
4) New Biz
a) COC (April 18-20): We will leave at 5pm on Friday. We will be sending new people to the COC to learn how to run a conclave, there is talk of a council change so we maybe hosting the conclave next year. Youth Chairs need to be found.
b) Section Visitation (at COC): Need a membership list, service projects/hours, current bylaws, training.
c) Spring Fellowship (April 25-27): The Ordeal ceremonies will take place before dinner and the brother hood will be after. Housing will be assigned at registration. Elangomats and a chair person need to be assigned.
d) NLS (April 25-27): The paperwork is sent out.
e) One Day of Service (May 2-3): At camp Nawakwa. Starts Friday night at 8pm will be staying over night, food will be provided.
f) Summer Camp Begins (June 15)
g) AC5 (July 12-19): there will be a meeting at spring fellowship to go over the gear needed the transportation is decided.
h) Section Conclave (Sept 14-19): Devin and Joe will be running the tomahawk throw. Jordan will be running the Patch Auction each lodge will need 10 patches.
i) Fundraising: The Chetek thing has been postponed.
j) Chainsaw training (May 10th): Will take place at camp adults are needed to take the course.
k) Unit Elections: The forms are out, Elections that are not done before camp will take place at camp.
l) Venturing Crew 337: A crew will provide service to various parties and designed for OA members that are aging out of their troops and keeping them active.

March 9, 2008 Executive Board Meeting

1) Welcome

2) Officer Reports
a) Committee: Nothing
b) Treasurer: Cody is stepping down form his position, his responsibilities will be taken over by Matt Soppeland.
c) Secretary: "Umm I revised the bylaws!"
d) Vice- Chiefs: Dance team north and dance team south got together and had a training session
e) Chief: He was just glad everyone was here.
3) Old Business a) Winter Fun Weekend: Look into getting more space for next year but overall the weekend was great
b) Fundraiser: On Saturday march 8th some members cooked breakfast for the Chippewa junior bowling league, There is an idea to use leftover popcorn to sell as a fundraiser.
c) Eagles Flight: The eagles' flight is all done it just needs to be folded and sent out.
d) Any Other Old Business
4) New Business a) COC (April 18-20): We want to send extra members to the April COC to see how to set up and run. We are running the patch auction, tomahawks and Ultimate Frisbee.
b) Section Visitation (at COC): The bi-laws need to be revised by the visitation
c) Spring Fellowship (April 25-27): We need ideas for food? We will also feed the ordeals on Friday when they get there. There is a possible change in schedule to do the ceremonies before dinner and then eat.
d) NLS (April 25-27): We will pay for the trip and registration but the participants will need to pay for food there and back.
e) One day of service (May 2-3): At the Girl Scout camp we will be putting in a raft in their swimming area. REMEMBER GIRLSCOUTS WILL BE THERE!!
f) Summer camp begins! (June 15): The Boys in blue ceremony will be done as long as the schedule permits. The Monday night social will be same time same place.
g) Arrow Corps5: 12 People Signed up, next payment is due May 4th.
h) Section Conclave (Sept 12-14): The date might be changing, we are looking to take at least 100 people. A bus will start in the blue hills and go south toward lacrosse.
i) T-shirts (Ask me about section conclave): we will be getting shirts for the officers and the OA coordinator.
j) Fundraisings: We will look at fundraisers for NOAC and other Events.
k) NOAC: 14 People signed up for NOAC; we had 26 last year. It's at Indiana University.
l) Vigil: The Nominations need to be in so that we can have them by the first week in summer.
m) Review calendar for 09': LLD on October 11-12th; November 9 meeting; Dec 14 meeting; January Winter banquet on 17th; February 6-8th OA Fun Weekend; March 8th; April 24-25 Work weekend; Matt made a motion to accept this calendar, Devin 2nd the motion it was unanimous.
n) Totem pole: Dave Wieland has found a pole for the totem at camp. And would like to know what we would want to do. "We need to find it, move it and carve it.-Brad Gary
5) Supreme Chief of Fire and Comment:
Was Present and thanked us for the camp promotions.
6) Advisors Minute:
Jordan motions to have chainsaw training, Matt 2nd, the vote was unanimous.

February 17, 2008 Executive Board Meeting

1) Opening.
a. Pledge of Allegiance: Matt (Devi n was the flag!)
b. Scout Oath: Jordan
c. Obligation: Brad
2) Officer Reports.
a. Committees: Arrow core 5 paper work is in but members can still be sent in Ceremonies teams are yet to be decided.
b. Treasurer: not present.
c. Secretary: The bylaws will be typed and submitted
d. Vice Chiefs: Activities: One day of service ideas are needed
Admin: Nothing
e. Chief: New scout executive was present at the meeting
3) Old Business.
a. Webelos Lock-in: The average income was raised, 88 Webelos attended.
b. Winter Banquet: Had Chicken and "Meatloaf"! (Thanks Don) Rice Lake seems to be a good place for the banquet.
c. COC: Went to Wausau for the COC, We would like to send a group of committee members to the next COC to see how to run a Section Conclave in prep for the 2010 Conclave. Our lodge is running the Patch Auction and the Tomahawk throw.
d. T-shirts: Are available now and will be for sale in the scout office after spring conlave.
e. Any other Old biz:
4) New Business.
a. Winter Fun Weekend: We are having fun hanging out and playing in the snow, there is a brother hood ceremony that will get us started toward our brother hood conversion percent.
b. Spring fellowship (April 25-27): We need to think of ideas for a theme. We will appoint an elangomat coordinator, that will help organize the elangomats.
c. One Day of Service: we are going to the girl scout camp but other ideas are needed.
d. Section Visitation (Next COC): the bylaws will be revised in time for the visitation the visitation will be a joint visitation with the other lodges in our section.
e. ArrowCorps5: we have over 6 people signed up we can still send in our payments and transportation is still a work in progress.
f. NLS: The NLS is at the same time as our spring work weekend we are still looking to fill some extra spots.
g. COC: Will be at Camp Decorah, April 18th-20th
h. Section conclave: We want to send 100 members to Conclave we are riding a bus again.
i. Eagles flight: we need to put in a notice for the new ordeals so they can do their ordeal ceremony; we also need to put out vigil nominations.
j. NOAC: It's coming up in 09 so we want to start working on fund raisers so people can get a start on the cost for NOAC. The sign up sheet will be out soon.

We are looking at fixing the totem pole at camp we have a pole we just need someone to carve it.

November 4, 2007 Executive Board Meeting

Treasurer – absent
Secretary – no report
Vice Chiefs – The one day of service went great
Chief – An LLD was held before the meeting to train the new officers
3: Old Business
One Day of Service – Held at Irvine Park in Chippewa Falls 40 people attended, 25 lodge members and 15 people from surrounding troops.
LLD – The New officers were trained and committees were discussed and chair people assigned
Any other old business – Next meeting we need to look at the bylaws and make revisions
4: New Business
Webelos lock-in (Jan-11) – It will be at the YMCA, food served: Nachos, Candy, Pop, and Walking Tacos.
Winter Banquet (Jan-12) – The Time is undecided it will be at the moose lodge in Rice Lake. The motion was made by Matt Dienger and seconded by Jordan Braun
Winter Fun Weekend (Feb. 16-18) – need a menu by the next meeting.
T-Shirt – we are going with the blue shirt design.
Segment Patch - A center piece design must be make for the people that didn’t go to conclave. The new segment patch is underway the patch will be available to buy in one shot.
Eagle flight – Dec. 1st will include winter banquet info, Webelos lock-in info, Spring work weekend, Winter fun weekend, and Dance Team North.
COC – Jan 18th -20th in Wausau at the Philips scout center.
NLS – Participants will be decided.

October 14, 2007 Executive Board Meeting

1: Opening

2: Reports
All officers introduced them selves.
3: Old Business
NCLS- Discussed the strategic plan available on online.
Fall Fellowship- Went great, there were a lot of people, It was decided we need to collect med forms next year.
Section Conclave- Sent 88 people to the conclave.
Any other old business- Summer camp ceremonies were good, boys in blue ceremonies got all positive remarks, Matt got 100% on call out fires, possible ceremony changes were discussed.
4: New Business
a) Meeting Procedure- Basic Parliamentary Procedure
b) Weblos lock-in (Jan 11)- Possibly at the YMCA again this year.
c) Winter banquet (Jan 12)- At the next meeting we will decide on a location.
d) Winter Fun Weekend (15-17)- At Winter Camp
T- Shirts- A Motion made by Devin Kilmer for a new royal blue which was amended by Quin Kilmer to use the Indian and eagle design on the back and the current eagle logo on the front the motion was seconded by Jordan Brawn, The vote was unanimous.
Segment patch- A motion was made by Matt Dienger to use the eagle as the new segment patch Jordan seconded, vote was unanimous.
Eagles Flight- The Next Issue will include the Calendar, segment patch info, Dues reminders with an example.
One Day of Service- In 2 weeks at Irvine park in Chippewa falls
Committees- Next meeting we will assign committees to the board members and will review the committees
LLD- will take place on Nov. 4 at noon.
